About Landlines

A sad but true fact is that we won’t be here forever. We’re losing a generation that have made New Zealand to what it is today, the farmers who mustered their cattle for weeks, the Māori elders who carry the stories of the land in their bones, the bushmen who knew the forests by heart.

Landlines was born from a desire to tell the stories before they’re lost.

We are here to listen, to capture, and to honour these stories
through photography, film, and written words. We believe that by preserving the past, we build deeper respect for the whenua, for culture, and for each other.

Through every portrait, every interview, and every story shared, Landlines connects generations, so the voices that shaped Aotearoa are not forgotten, but carried forward.
